Coming to Cerritos: Frank Sinatra will be the grand-opening attraction Jan. 13-17 to launch the inaugural season at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts. The lineup also includes two evenings of dance by Twyla Tharp and Mikhail Baryshnikov on Feb. 3-4, Kenny Rogers on Feb. 16-20, Lynn Redgrave in "Shakespeare for My Father" on Feb. 21-22, Henry Mancini with Cleo Laine and John Dankworth on Feb. 24-25, George Burns and Joan Rivers on March 13, the musical "Grand Hotel" March 23-28, and Ann-Margret on March 30-April 1. A mix of classical music events, stage musicals and pop artists will round out the 1993 season, which was announced Monday at the new facility.
