Welcome to the New OC Live!

October 01, 1992

With this issue, O.C. Live! not only has grown bigger--to 48 pages--but broader, deeper, livelier. Such new features as Kids on Film and Wanna Dance? are taking our prize-winning entertainment coverage into whole new areas, while our 3-Hour Tour, Do It!, Hobbies and other recreational/lifestyle columns represent an effort to better reflect all the ways you spend your leisure time, and to provide you with all the information you need. We're especially proud to welcome new columnists T. Jefferson Parker, the celebrated novelist/Laguna Beach resident who will be sharing his perceptions of and experiences in Orange County, and Rick (Rockin' Fig) Fignetti, who knows the local surf scene as well as anyone out there and who, with Times Staff Writer David Reyes, will be keeping you in the pipeline. Our listings, meanwhile, are more comprehensive than ever, and our Around and About pages bring our coverage ever closer to home, with news of what's happening in and around the neighborhoods. If there's anything we've forgotten, just let us know. This is your section--totally home-grown, with every word written in and about Orange County and its environs. Hope you like it.
