SOUTH LOS ANGELES : Horton Memorial Scholarship Fund

Donations are being accepted for the Kimberly H. Horton Memorial Scholarship Fund at Eternal Promise Baptist Church in South Los Angeles.

Horton was a UCLA undergraduate killed in July during a car hijacking at Crenshaw Boulevard and 80th Street in Inglewood. Horton was shot in the face, dragged from her 1991 Honda and left on a sidewalk. She was found comatose and died at Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital.

No arrests have been made in the case.

The scholarship has been established at the church, where her father, Richard Lamar, is pastor. Checks, payable to the Kimberly H. Horton Memorial Scholarship Fund, can be mailed to Eternal Promise Baptist Church, 2057 Century Blvd., Los Angeles 90047.
