Mother Of None

October 11, 1992

"Notes From a Solstice" (by Joan Frank, Guest Bites Town, Aug. 30), struck a responsive chord. At 34 I married a fellow writer who agreed with me that the inevitability of a sweet toddler becoming a contemptuous and bad-mouthing teen-ager was too much to contemplate. We chose to dote on our two beautiful cats and remained happily childless.
