SAN DIEGO — Charger defensive end Burt Grossman reinjured his ankle in practice Thursday afternoon, and his status has been downgraded from questionable to doubtful for Sunday's game against the Phoenix Cardinals.
Grossman missed last week's game against the Raiders because of two sprained ankles. Rookie Chris Mims started in his place.
The team said he would undergo further evaluation today.
