ALGIERS — Paramilitary forces killed six armed men who attacked a barracks in eastern Algeria, military headquarters said Wednesday.
The gunmen--reportedly extremists seeking to make Algeria an Islamic nation--struck Tuesday against the gendarmerie post at El Ogla, near Tebessa, some 50 miles from the Tunisian frontier.
