BONN — The U.S. Air Force plans to evacuate 10 Bosnian war victims today in the first of several mercy flights expected to bring casualties to the United States for medical treatment.
A C-9 aircraft with medical crew aboard was being dispatched from Ramstein Air Base, Germany, to pick up the patients in Zagreb, Croatia, and fly them back to Germany, where they were to remain overnight at a U.S. Army hospital before heading to the United States on Wednesday.
