Marge Schott

February 11, 1993

Apparently, Speechcrime is now punishable by confiscation of property and livelihood. Marge Schott has been deprived of her property, the baseball team she owns, or the effective use and control of it, because of words she uttered.

Aren't we supposed to recognize freedom of speech regardless of how odious the utterance? Or is the 1st Amendment no longer in effect for the politically incorrect?
