Restaurant Opens in Duarte Schoolhouse

March 25, 1993

The Old Spaghetti Factory restaurant has given the former Duarte Schoolhouse at Central and Buena Vista avenues a new lease on life.

The 11,000-square-foot restaurant, which opened last week, has a seating capacity of 425 and employs 100 part-time workers.

The restaurant features memorabilia from 1909 to 1925, when the building functioned as Duarte's only schoolhouse.

OSF International, which owns the restaurant, traditionally transforms historic sites for its locations.
