THE LAST WORD: Advance tapes of Aerosmith's "Get a Grip" album are being made of gold and platinum. At least, you'd think they were, judging by the heavy tone of the letter sent accompanying the cassettes of the album, which is due in stores April 20.

"Please agree to protect this cassette as you would any item of unique and great value," reads the letter from Geffen Records. "Specifically, please do not leave this cassette in an unattended motor vehicle (whether locked or unlocked) or in any open space such as an office desk. We would be grateful if you would keep this cassette on your person or within your personal control until no earlier than 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 1993."
