Voicing Concerns Over Teen Pregnancy

March 31, 1993

The reporter noted that pregnancies for girls 14 and under are often linked to incest or molestation and that 72% of the males who get teen-agers pregnant are adults who, according to health-care workers, may have coerced sex with the girls.

The fact that many girls reported that the pregnancy was intentional is irrelevant. Many hostage victims fall in love with their jailers.

The bottom line is that girls are forced into having sex overtly by supposedly caring men or relatives and covertly by a society that doesn't care.
