Gave up a home run to the first batter he faced four times. Posted a 1.54 ERA in his first five games, but allowed eight earned runs in his next 6 2/3 innings. PLAYER: John Farrell 38 PITCHER Bats: R Throws: R Ht: 6-4 Wt: 210 Birthday: 8/4/62 ML Service: 5.048 1992: Has missed the last two seasons because of an elbow injury. Signed by the Angels to a minor league contract in 1992 and spent last season rehabilitating at Gene Autry Park in Mesa, Ariz. Last appearance was with the Cleveland Indians on Sept. 27, 1990. PLAYER: Chuck Finley 31 PITCHER Bats: L Throws: L Ht: 6-6 Wt: 214 Birthday: 11/26/62 ML Service: 6.134 1992: Missed first 16 days of season after aggravating toe that was surgically repaired in Dec. 1991. His 12 losses were most in a season in four years. Received fifth-lowest run support in the American League with 3.74 runs per nine innings pitched. With the Angels:

PLAYER: Steve Frey 41 PITCHER Bats: R Throws: L Ht: 5-9 Wt: 170 Birthday: 7/29/63 ML Service: 3.034 1992: Had four saves in five opportunities and was second on the staff in appearances (51). Began season in Edmonton, but was called up on April 12. Allowed only five of 50 inherited runners to score, second in the American League behind Dennis Eckersley. With the Angels:
