Mexico defeated Honduras, 3-0, in a rough qualifying game at Mexico City for a berth in next year's World Cup final round.

Yellow cards abounded and the Mexicans played most of the game with only 10 players. One player was expelled for kicking a Honduras player.

In their qualifying group, Mexico and El Salvador are each 1-1. Honduras is 0-1-1. Canada leads the group with a 1-0-1 record after defeating El Salvador, 2-0.
