PULLMAN, Wash. — A pipe bomb and a bomb-making book were found at the home of a Washington State football player who lost his hand in an explosion that killed a teammate, police said Wednesday.
Linebackers Harvey Waldron and Payam Saadat were driving Monday night when a pipe bomb exploded in their pickup truck.
Waldron, 22, of Bellevue, died Tuesday night at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. Saadat, 20, of Santa Monica, was in satisfactory condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
