In other Orange Empire Conference games:

Cypress 4, Golden West 3 (14 innings)--Golden West scored in the top of the 14th, but Cypress rallied for two runs in the bottom of the inning. Eric Stevens had an RBI double to tie the score and Kevin Clark had a sacrifice fly to drive in the winning run. Earlier Thursday, Clark made an oral commitment to attend Pepperdine.

Golden West's Joe Fraser tied the score, 2-2, for Golden West with a one-out home run in the ninth. Mike DesRoches (6-0) pitched 5 1/3 innings of relief for the victory.

Riverside 10, Fullerton 3--Bobby Jones had a home run and drove in four runs for host Riverside (25-11, 11-7).

At the South Coast Conference swimming finals:

Golden West sets records--Rafael Guijarro set a conference record in the 500 freestyle (4:33.19) and Alex Beaver set a conference record in the 200 individual medley (1:54.29) for Golden West at Long Beach Belmont Plaza.
