Suit Dismissed: A New York judge has freed singer Mariah Carey from her stepfather's demands for a share of her earnings, saying a nod of the head and the words "OK" are not enough to seal an oral contract for the sale of singing Mariah Carey dolls. The judge dismissed stepfather Joseph Vian's suit against Carey, which had sought an unspecified share of the more than $1 million Vian claimed Carey has earned since 1990. Carey's mother has since filed for divorce from Vian.
