An ideal L.A. mayor would be an Asian-black-Latino-Arabic-gay- homeless illegal immigrant who's a movie star, an attorney and, to please The Times, a liberal Democrat.
Since some people in Los Angeles want to split the school district into separate smaller districts, why not do the same for the city? There could be nine mayors--one for each ethnic and interest district.
