Thousands of angry fans clashed with riot police in Tegucigalpa, Honduras Sunday after Mexico defeated Honduras, 4-1, in a qualifying game for the 1994 World Cup. Police said at least two people were injured.

Mexico can advance to the World Cup finals with a win or a tie against Canada, a 2-1 winner Sunday over El Salvador at San Salvador.

In other World Cup matches, Guinea beat Zimbabwe, 3-0, at Conakry, Guinea; Ivory Coast beat Nigeria, 2-1, at Abidjan, Ivory Coast; North Korea tied Qatar, 2-2, at Singapore; and Singapore beat Indonesia, 2-1, also at Singapore.
