Trade Gap Shrinks: South Korea narrowed its trade deficit by a massive 80%, to $94 million in April from a $470-million shortfall a year earlier, according to provisional trade industry figures. The deficit was $229 million in March. South Korea has been shrinking the gap between imports and overseas sales for some time. In the first four months of this year, the gap was diminished to $1.8 billion from $4.4 billion a year before.
