How About a Little Country Stompin' to Aid the Barclay?

July 27, 1993

IRVINE — Care to Tush Push for a cause?

The Irvine Barclay Theatre's Encore Circle support group is giving a country-Western theme to its annual fund-raiser, which will feature such country line dances as the Tush Push on Saturday backstage at the theater.

The popular dances will be taught by local instructors. "Music of the Night" guests may also dine on barbecued food, play casino games and try to win dinner for two or a free hotel stay through a silent auction. Music will be provided by Bill Erickson & the Bandits.

Proceeds from the event, which begins at 7 p.m., will be used to help arts groups pay to rent the theater and use stage equipment. Last year's benefit netted $15,000. Tickets are $45 per person. Information: (714) 854-4737.
