Ducks to Play Four Home Exhibition Games

August 24, 1993|ROBYN NORWOOD

ANAHEIM — The Mighty Ducks' five-game exhibition schedule includes four at Anaheim Arena, beginning Sept. 18 against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Ducks, who begin training Sept. 10 in Anaheim, also play host to the Kings Sept. 22, the New York Islanders Sept. 29 and the San Jose Sharks Oct. 3.

The team's only road game during the preseason is Oct. 1 against the Vancouver Canucks.

The starting times for home games will vary during the exhibition season, in part because of traffic concerns related to Angel games at Anaheim Stadium.

The Sept. 18 game will start at 5 p.m. and the Sept. 22 game against the Kings will start at 8 p.m. because the Angels are also playing at home. Starting time is 7:30 on Sept. 29 and 7 p.m. on Oct. 3.

Tickets for the home exhibition games go on sale at 10 a.m. today at the Anaheim Arena box office and Ticketmaster.

The Ducks open the regular season Oct. 8 against the Detroit Red Wings at Anaheim Arena.
