Countywide : Hands-On Fair Offers Children's Activities

The eighth annual Children's Discovery Faire will take place Sunday at the Oak Canyon Nature Center in Anaheim.

Children will be encouraged to participate in activities that include petting snakes, dancing to live music and making crafts related to nature, fair officials said.

The event is sponsored by the Oak Canyon Nature Center and the Oak Canyon Committee of the Sea & Sage chapter of the National Audubon Society.

Exhibitions from the Children's Museum at La Habra, Discovery Museum of Orange County, Environmental Nature Center, Griffith Observatory, Santa Ana Zoo and other organizations will be on display at the center, at 6700 Walnut Canyon Road.

The fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
