'When Things Go Wrong': Especially apropos for the current real estate climate, the Women in Commercial Real Estate in Orange County will hold a conference Tuesday on the theme "When Things Go Wrong."

Speakers at the meeting, to be held at the Hyatt-Regency hotel in Irvine, will address such topics as partnerships, bankruptcies, asset management and real estate workouts and negotiations between a property owner and lender to avoid a foreclosure or bankruptcy following a default.

"It's no secret that commercial real estate is in trouble right now," said Jane Samson, an attorney with San Francisco-based Morrison & Foerster in Irvine. "We're seeing a lot of real estate workouts."
