Delta Seeks New Zealand Alliance: The carrier said it is pursuing the strategic alliance with Air New Zealand Ltd., which could bring Delta service to the South Pacific for the first time. The alliance would probably allow the carriers to share advertising expenses and pool some of the costs of ground services, as well as link their frequent-flier programs. Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines Inc. has similar marketing agreements with five other international carriers: Aeromexico, Swissair, Sabena, Varig and Aeroflot.
