CORVALLIS, Ore. — Ontiwaun Carter rushed for 165 yards and Arizona's defense dominated Oregon State on Saturday as the No. 15 Wildcats opened Pacific 10 Conference play with a 33-0 victory.

Dan White passed for two touchdowns for Arizona (4-0), which broke the game open with two touchdowns in the first 3 1/2 minutes of the second half. Chuck Levy gained 115 yards for the Wildcats, including a 42-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter as the Wildcats won in Corvallis for the first time since 1988.

Oregon State (1-3, 0-2 in the Pac-10) never crossed the Arizona 35-yard line. The Beavers and their wishbone offense managed only 62 yards in 47 carries. Arizona's defense, ranked first in the nation, has given up minus-five yards this season.

Carter ran 79 yards for a touchdown on the first play of the third quarter to put Arizona ahead, 19-0.

The Wildcats also scored on their next possession, when White passed to wide-open Cary Taylor on the left sideline on a 40-yard touchdown play.
