LOS ANGELES : Holden Calls for Study of Thefts at City Hall

September 29, 1993

Reacting to reports of a rash of crime in Los Angeles City Hall, Councilman Nate Holden on Tuesday called for a study of thefts within the building and recommended measures that would improve security.

In a motion that will be considered by the City Council next week, Holden called on the Department of General Services, which oversees security at city buildings, to assess what was stolen from City Hall in the last year. He also recommended that officials study whether metal detectors, more security officers or other changes should be implemented.
