John Wathan, interim manager of the Angels during much of the 1992 season, will not return to the team next season.
Wathan, the bench coach, served as manager after Buck Rodgers was seriously injured in a bus crash. The Angels said Wathan had been offered a minor league coaching position but turned it down "to pursue other major league opportunities."
