Canadian First People's Film Festival, a two-day visual arts celebration of the filmmaking achievements of Native Canadians, will be held at the Southwest Museum during the weekend, starting Saturday at 2 p.m. with a panel discussion, which will be followed by a screening of "Medicine River," described as the first romantic comedy set in Canada's native community.
Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., the museum will present more films, while at USC there will be an additional program, "Cultural Resistance and Cultural Survival" held throughout the weekend.
