November 14, 1993| Associated Press

PEORIA, Ill. — Thousands of Caterpillar Inc. workers in two states walked off the job Friday, angered by the suspension of a union representative.

The walkout began at the company's Mossville plant Thursday and spread to four other Caterpillar plants in Illinois and one in York, Pa., said Jim O'Connor, an international service representative of the United Auto Workers.
