"Through a glass darkly" may describe the diplomatic obscurities of this Pacific trade forum, but the work of one Seattle artist being showcased during the conference is anything but dim.
A set of wildly colorful, glass-blown bowls brightened the stage where President Clinton spoke Friday to Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation delegates.
The "macchia" pieces are the work of Dale Chihuly, who also created an orange, three-foot-long glass sculpture for the conference table that Clinton and Asian leaders will use today during talks on Blake Island.
