IRVINE — John Montes, a junior middleweight from Los Angeles, headlines the Irvine Marriott's final card of the year tonight.
Montes (43-5, 31 knockouts) takes on Armando Campas of Tucson, Ariz., in the 10-round main event. Campas is 12-8 with eight knockouts.
Montes has a pair of knockouts after a four-year layoff. He stopped James Rivas (8-9-1) of Phoenix the fourth round of his last bout in September in Irvine.
Rodney Toney (9-0) takes on Randy Smith (8-1) in the semi-main event. The first of six scheduled bouts starts at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets--priced at $35, $32 and $25--will be on sale today starting at 10 at the hotel.
