Elementary and Secondary

* Beverly Hills Unified School District: All schools closed today. All staff who are able should report to work. For information: (310) 277-5900.

* Buckley School in Sherman Oaks: Will be closed the rest of the week.

* Conejo Valley Unified: All schools will be closed to students, but teachers and all staff should report to work.

* Culver City School District: All schools will be closed.

* Fillmore Unified: All schools will be closed to teachers and students, but principals and district administrative staff should report to work.

* Hollywood Little Red Schoolhouse: Will be closed today.

* Inglewood Good Shepherd Lutheran School: will be closed today.

* Las Virgenes School District: Closed as planned before the earthquake for a staff development day. Faculty and staff should report for work.

* Los Angeles Archdiocese: All Catholic elementary and secondary schools in Los Angeles and Ventura counties will be closed today. Catholic schools in Santa Barbara County will be decided on a school-by-school basis.

Los Angeles Unified School District Schools citywide will be closed today to assess structural and other damage at the district's 640 campuses. Most schools in the Valley have suffered major damage.

Officials will make an announcement today about continued and additional closures.

The district has set up two numbers for people to call for information on school closures: (213) 625-4000 (English), (213) 625-4643 (Spanish).

* Nessah Israel Hebrew School and Preschool: Will be closed today.

* Ocean View Elementary School District: All schools closed.

* Seeds University Elementary School, Westwood: Situated on the UCLA campus, it will be closed.

* Simi Valley Unified: All schools closed.

* Ventura Unified: If there is another power outage, all schools will be closed today.

* William S. Hart Union High School District, Santa Clarita Valley: All schools closed today.

College and University

* California State University, Northridge: Closed at least through Thursday.

* Los Angeles Community College District: All nine colleges and the district office will be closed today (including evening classes) to assess damage. District officials will make an announcement today regarding further closures.

* Mount St. Mary's College: Registration advisement and orientation has been postponed until Wednesday. First day of classes will be Thursday.

* Pepperdine University: Plans to reopen Wednesday.

* UCLA: Classes (including extension classes) and public programs are canceled today. Staff and faculty should report to work or contact their supervisors if they cannot. The campus libraries are closed, but the medical center is fully operational, including outpatient services. For closure information, call: (310) 206-7994.
