Writing Their Congressmen: A Laguna Hills-based political consultant, Adler Wilson Campaign Services Inc., has designed a computer databank thats allowed more than 30,000 home builders to contact their congressional representatives last weekend.

The databank was used by the the National Assn. of Home Builders during its annual meeting in Las Vegas. Attendees were able to enter their home addresses, find the names of their representatives, and create letters on a personalized letterhead.

The wording of the seven letters varied, Jeff Adler said, but each made the point that association members would like to see regulations eased that prevent the cutting of trees. Lumber prices have increased 67% in the past five months because of limited supply, the letters said.
