OTTAWA — Quebec separatist leader Lucien Bouchard is scheduled to visit Washington on March 2 to meet legislators and discuss the implications for the United States of an independent Quebec, his spokeswoman said.
It will be Bouchard's first visit to Washington since his Bloc Quebecois party swept up most seats in Quebec in November's election and became Canada's main opposition party.
