Judgment Against USAir Tossed Out: An appeals court in San Diego threw out the $2.1-million judgment in a lawsuit filed by a pilot against the carrier over injuries he claims he suffered when rain repellent seeped into the cockpit of the plane he was flying. The U.S. 4th District Court of Appeal reversed an August, 1990, jury award. The justices concluded that pilot Richard O'Harren's claim should have been handled through workers' compensation and that the judgment was not supported by evidence.
