Amtrak Isn't Doing Its Part to Ease Transit Woes

March 13, 1994

* Caltrans couldn't be doing any more than it is to help people get to work, but why isn't Amtrak doing the same?

The Ventura County line could connect with the Riverside line and help people commute beyond Union Station.

I would like to see action taken to have train service from Chatsworth to Hobart at least twice a day--at a reasonable fare.

The tracks are there. We have the trains. There's a shack at Hobart. Why can't we have a stop there or somewhere closer than Industry?
