Wanders, who will attend Hawaii on a baseball scholarship next fall, is not through with the South Coast League. Thursday, he beat Capistrano Valley, then ranked No. 2 in the county, 15-1. Wanders gave up only five hits and an unearned run in the fifth inning. At the plate, he had four hits, scored three runs and drove in one as the Tritons improved to 8-3, 4-1 in league. "He had a heck of a game," San Clemente Coach Paul Prinz said. Wanders lowered his earned-run average to 1.48. He's batting .375 with a team-high nine runs batted in.
