May 03, 1994|TIMOTHY WILLIAMS

A fire at a mini-mall destroyed a restaurant early Monday and caused $275,000 in damage but caused no injuries, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said.

The fire broke out about 3:05 a.m. at the Celebrity Coffeeshop, located in a one-story strip mall at 8336 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd., fire dispatcher Jim Wells said. It took firefighters about 20 minutes to contain the blaze. The cause is under investigation, Wells said.
