Personal safety without guns will be discussed Wednesday at the Palos Verdes Neighborhood Watch annual meeting.
Los Angeles Times columnist Bill Boyarsky, whose daughter was attacked with a hammer in their home, will share his experience with the audience.
Self-defense techniques also will be demonstrated.
