Winning Minority Screenwriters Named

Winners of the fifth annual Writers Workshop Ethnic Minority Screenwriters Development and Promotional Program, sponsored by several entertainment industry individuals and firms, have been announced.

The five $500 winners are Lemar R. Fooks for "Under the Blood Red Sun," Charlene Love and James Gates for "Sin for a Season" and Christina Cottles for "Serenity," all from Los Angeles; Kenneth Gay of San Quentin for "A Children's Story" and Rosa Graham of Chicago for "Lonely Street."

The next writers program begins in September.
