Metalclad Corp.: The hazardous-waste treatment services company has agreed to acquire Deter Saneamiento SA de CV, a Mexican environmental services company, in a stock swap valued at $3.5 million.

Metalclad, based in Newport Beach, will exchange 923,076 of its shares for all of Deter's outstanding stock. The deal is set to close in June. Michael Jean Signoret, director general of Deter, will join Metalclad's board of directors.

Earlier this month, Metalclad completed a stock-swap deal with Quimica Omega S.A. de C.V., another Mexican company that provides environmental services. The company also has announced plans to build a hazardous-waste treatment plant in Mexico.
