American Suzuki Motor Corp.: The company said Tuesday that it is launching a new private-label financing program to provide retail and lease financing for its customers.

American Suzuki, maker of Suzuki automobiles, will launch its American Suzuki Automotive Credit unit to help its customers buy or lease cars and to enable its dealers to stock more vehicles.

The program, part of an arrangement with Primus Automotive Financial Services Inc., will be available in the fall. Previously, Brea-based American Suzuki provided lease financing through a program underwritten by General Electric Capital Auto Lease Inc.
