AND ONE MORE THING: The conservative country music world is the last place you'd expect to find a film director best known for steamy sex scenes. But Zalman King, whose credits include "9 1/2 Weeks" and "Wild Orchid," has filmed a 30-second TV commercial for country singer John Berry.

"Country singers sing about all this stuff--they just don't show it," says Berry of the romantic content of the clip, which features him and a sultry female love interest to the tune of his "Your Love Amazes Me," a No. 1 country hit this year.

In truth, the clip tells its short story more through inference than actual visuals.

"The song is quite romantic, and even though John and the woman never get together, you feel a tremendous longing between them," says King, who is finishing work on his next film, "Delta of Venus," based on an Anais Nin erotic story, which he expects to get an NC-17 rating.

Asked about the teaming, Bob Freese, Liberty Records' vice president of sales and marketing, says, "We were looking for something outside the norm to help people get to know John better."*
