Today: Republican candidate Chuck Quackenbush, who is running for state insurance commissioner, will be the guest of honor at an Oxnard fund raiser sponsored by a local insurance agents' organization at McGrath Ranch, 5011 Gonzales Road. 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Donations, $99 per person, $150 per couple. Saturday: Republican candidates for state, county and local offices will attend a "progressive" luncheon sponsored by the Simi Valley Republican Women Federated.
