Salsa Must Beat Montreal Twice to Extend Season

FULLERTON — The Salsa will have its back to the wall in the American Professional Soccer League playoffs against the Montreal Impact at 6:05 tonight at Titan Stadium.

Montreal defeated the Salsa, 2-1, Friday night in Montreal to take the advantage in the two-game semifinal series. The Salsa will need a victory tonight in the game, and also in a 30-minute mini-game that would follow, to reach the APSL title game Oct. 15. Montreal can advance with a victory in the regular game. The Impact is 4-0 against the Salsa this season.

Seattle and Colorado are playing in the other semifinal series.
