CHICAGO — An alleged sex scandal involving a member of Congress widened Monday when the chief press spokesman for the Chicago Police Department was indicted on charges related to the case.
Billy Davis, the police public information officer, was indicted by a Cook County grand jury on charges of official misconduct. The indictment alleged that he tipped Rep. Mel Reynolds to an investigation before the freshman Democrat's indictment on statutory rape and other charges in August.
