Disney Wants to Resume Talks to Buy All of NBC: Negotiations between Walt Disney Co. and NBC's parent, General Electric Co., stalled after a $5-billion offer from Disney was rejected as too low, people close to the talks said, according to Bloomberg Business News. Previously, the sticking point was not only the price, but also whether Stamford, Conn.-based GE was willing to sell all of NBC. "I'll tell you one thing, if (Disney goes) in, it's not going to be for a minority stake," a Disney executive said. The price tag for NBC would be in the range of $5.5 billion to $6 billion, analysts said.
