SYLMAR — The Canoga Park Hunters got to see more of receiver Davon Young than they wanted Friday night.

Young, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound senior, scored four touchdowns to lead Sylmar to a 61-0 rout of Canoga Park in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game.

Young started his scoring late in the first quarter when he hooked up with quarterback Greg Marquez on a 63-yard pass play that gave Sylmar a 14-0 lead.

"That play was designed for me to go deep and the defender just left me wide open," Young said. "That was easy."

Young struck again in the second quarter, scoring three times in about four minutes, the first on a 65-yard punt return.

Then Young, who also plays defensive back, intercepted two passes and returned them for 42- and 32-yard touchdowns before intermission.

Durell Price rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns, one on a 46-yard run.
