MAGAZINE WARS: Another periodical with a battle on its hands--in fact, two battles--is the hip-hop monthly the Source. Public Enemy has made its new video for the song "I Stand Accused" a vicious spoof of the magazine--renamed "the Soft" in the video--in retaliation for a negative review of PE's recent "Muse Sick N Hour Mess Age" album.

Like the Source, the magazine depicted in the video has a white publisher and editor, a circumstance that PE mocks as being out of touch with African American culture. A representative for PE confirmed that the video targets the Source, but would not comment further.
