Geoffrey W. Holmes, Time Warner Inc.'s senior vice president of technology, has been asked to leave the corporate staff and take a position reporting to Home Box Office Chairman Michael Fuchs, sources said Thursday. Holmes, 48, has been overseeing Time Warner's interactive-media businesses, which have about 300 employees and about $100 million in revenue. Those companies--with operations scattered from Burbank and Milpitas in California to New York and Tokyo--are expected to become part of Home Box Office, a division of Time Warner. With Holmes' departure from the corporate staff, no former Warner Communications executives will remain in the senior ranks. Longtime Chief Financial Officer Bert Wasserman--another Warner veteran--is expected to leave at year's end. Time Warner officials declined to comment on plans for either Holmes or Wasserman.
